Flex Lure Technology designt, entwickelt und produziert lebensnahe Köder. FLT's Chefdesigner ist niemand geringeres, als der berühmte Seiji Kato, der seine Fähigkeiten schon unzählige Male durch wahre Meisterwerke unter Beweis gestellt hat. Du wirst sicher auch schon den einen oder anderen Lure von ihm in der Köderbox haben. Seiji Kato sagt, dass ihn die Ideen für seine Köder überkommen, solange er fischt und solange es Fische gibt, die er noch nicht überlisten konnte. Er entwickelt seit 18 Jahren Köder und viele Jahre davon bei sehr bekannten Herstellern. In dieser Zeit hat er 200 Köder produziert, von denen viele Kultstatus genießen.
FLT verwendet bei der Produktion innovative Materialien, wie Elastomer, einen weichen, elastischen und zugleich robusten Ausgangsstoff für die Flossen. Die Testphase ist ausgesprochen lang und hart, um vor der Serienproduktion Perfektion sicherzustellen: präzise Computergrafiken und Animationen, ausgedehnte Tests im Pool und natürlich die Erfahrung, die im Verlauf von Praxistest gewonnen wurde.

Designer Seiji Kato

Hello everyone, my name is Seiji Kato. I have made a plenty of lures so far. Some of them are well known all over the world as a wonderful lure, however, there are several lures which I just imaged in my head and they have not been made yet.

 

In 1988 I started taking part in designing lures but personal computers were not well developed. Therefore, all prototypes which easily changed the action in a few decimal fractions were made with my hands. I shaved off them very carefully and focused on adjusting total balance with a craftsmanship. TDMINNOW, TDPOPPER, and TDPENCIL were designed in the process and they are still popular among a lot of anglers. After that, I took part in LUCKY CRAFT and I kept on producing many lures that I want to use. Moreover, they are loved to use all over the world such as Sammy, Pointer and Flash Minnow. After a while the way of designing lures started to change analog way into digital way with 3D software when I spent on designing lures in Lucky Craft. Therefore, I began to design lures digitally in my computer. I had produced 40 types of lures for 5 years since I began to design Lucky Craft’s lures.
In 1999 I establish JACKALL.co.Ltd and I prepared forefront devices for designing lures which have more natural action, material and undulation. At that time, I succeeded in developing a new concept lure Musk and keep on producing innovative ideal lures such as out tungsten metal TN series, jointed crank bait Aragon, jighead wacky Flick Shake and a slalom action ZILLVA in FLT brand. I can not help imaging and designing new lures.
Recently, a well developed computer allows me to represent my overflowing images. However, I need to adjust details using my hands in the final process even if the device or computer becomes well developed. The finely honed sensitivity that I had practiced when I shaved lures with my hands can not be a substitute for the well developed computer. It is still very difficult for even the forefront computers to calculate which lure works very well. Therefore, I need to prepare both the sensitivity proved with enough experience and the forefront devices for producing lures that attract a lot of fish and I try to put myself on the bass fishing scene as an angler on the pro circuit.
Finally, I will endeavor to maintain the well honed sensitivity and develop lures in the forefront devices to be a real lure builder who will never give up and keep on challenging.
